Young Bulldogs ready to show out in NWC

COLUMBUS GROVE-Columbus Grove came off a good season last year, landing a 17-8 season record and a 5-3 record in the NWC. This season the Bulldogs will roll out some new faces in Bulldog country to raise the standard.

“We are looking to replace 4 starters and over 80% of our scoring lost to graduation and injury. We will be young and inexperienced, but we have guys that are willing to work to get better and will compete night in and night out against the high quality teams we have on our schedule. We hope to be playing our best basketball going into tournament time,” said Head Coach Chris Sautter.

Bo Birnesser, Zach Reynolds, and Tadd Koch are the returning lettermen from a year ago. Birnesser (all NWC honorable mention) tore his ACL playing AAU and is believed to miss most of the season.

Instead, the Bulldogs will count on Landon Best, Trenton Barraza, Kylan Mayes, Kyle Hopkins, Evan Sautter, and Keegan Bame to play big roles for the team this season.

Columbus Grove begins NWC play on December 9th when they host Ada.
