Knights look for elusive title
CONVOY-The Crestview Knights are coming off a solid season last year that gave them a 17-6 record and back to back seasons in the district tournament. Crestview picked up their 19th conference title, shared with the Bluffton Pirates. The Knights return plenty as they look to nab their 20th conference title.
“We’re looking forward to having a veteran team as we have 4 senior guards that have all played at the varsity level for the past 2-3 seasons (Gavin, Carson, and Nate all played some varsity as Freshman and Mitch as a Soph.) and Wren Sheets started half of our games last year. We like the length that we have at the guard position and also feel that we have good size that can prevent some matchup problems in the paint. We also like our depth, as we are counting on several of our new varsity players to play a big role in helping us this season,” said fourth year head coach Doug Etzler.
Gavin Etzler was a second team all conference selection last year, and Carson Hunter and Mitch Temple were honorable mention selections last winter.
Crestview will begin NWC play on December 9th when they visit the Spencerville Bearcats.
