Success to drive Wildcats
DELPHOS-The Jefferson Wildcats are coming off a tough season where they finished 6-17, falling 1-8 in the NWC. After a successful football season, seventh year head coach Jordan Jettinghoff is expecting a competitive team this winter.
“With 8 letterwinners back from last season I am hopeful we can compete at a high level. That will not come easy though as our schedule is very challenging. We will need to take care of the ball and rebound very well in order to be in most games. Our 6 seniors will need to be great leaders on and off the court this year,” said Jettinghoff.
The Wildcats return eight letter winners from a year ago as they look to replace Colin Bailey. Bailey was a second team all-NWC selection last season.
Trent Teman, Levi Rode, and Andrew Miller are expected to take over the scoring duties after playing valuable minutes a year ago.
The Wildcats will begin NWC play on December 9th when they visit last year’s co-champ Bluffton.
